YOU ARE READY FOR A GRANT WRITER IF:

• You are a non-profit group or agency with a valid 501(c) (3) tax exemption

• You have a need to expand services or initiate new and innovative programs

• You have a needs assessment or other documentation indicating un-met needs

• Your Board of Directors has been informed of your plans and has approved funds for grant writing services as well as a cash match, or other in-kind match, mandated by specific grants.

YOU ARE NOT READY FOR A GRANT WRITER IF:

• You are not a non-profit group or agency or are an individual

• You simply have "a neat idea"

• You have not studied the problems of your community or targeted group

• Your ideas are not innovative or replicable

• You believe grant writing is free.

   Do you need an experienced and successful grant writer? Realizing community organizations often cannot afford a staff grant writer, yet need assistance, I became an independent grant writer to fill this need.
